Don’t panic—your synthetic fibers actually love a little heat.

Gently apply low heat from a flat iron or straightener to smooth things out and tone down that frizz. Keep it light and slow—think “polish, not burn”—and your ends will look sleek, soft, and back to slay mode in no time. 

Stick to wig-friendly products or a light mist of water—your synthetic fibers are delicate, and regular hair sprays or styling products can damage them. Keep it gentle, spritz lightly, and your wig will stay soft, manageable, and slay-ready.

For synthetic wigs, always go for a wide-tooth comb or a wig-friendly brush—nothing fine or stiff. Never brush while wet; damp fibers are super fragile and can snap easily. Start at the ends and gently work your way up toward the roots, detangling in small sections. Be patient and gentle, because once synthetic fibers get snagged or broken, it’s nearly impossible to fix.

Start with cool water—hot water can damage synthetic fibers. Use wig-safe shampoo and conditioner to gently cleanse and nourish your wig. Never brush while wet; wet fibers are fragile and can snap easily. After washing, hang your wig to air dry—don’t use a blow dryer. Once it’s dry, your style will bounce back beautifully, ready to slay again. 

Yes, you can curl synthetic fibers—just do it carefully. Use a heat-friendly wig and a curling iron at the recommended temperature. Wrap small sections of hair around the iron, then set the curl by holding it in place for a few seconds. After curling, let it cool completely before releasing—this helps the curl hold its shape.

If you’d rather skip the heat, rollers are your best friend. Roll small sections, let them sit until fully set, then gently unroll for soft, lasting waves. 

Start with a wig grip or cap to keep everything secure and smooth. Place the wig on your head starting at the front, gently positioning it over your natural hair. If your wig has ear tabs, bend them to fit comfortably around your ears. Then, pull the wig back so it sits right at your natural hairline. Don’t forget to adjust the straps in the back—this helps the wig fit your head snugly without slipping.
